Montessori Sunflower Project

Preschoolers in Ms. Giannone's class are discovering the life cycle of sunflowers. 

The Sunflower Project started at the beginning of May, where children had the opportunity to plant sunflower seeds in a plastic cup. Since then, students have continued to monitor the plant's progress, as it's slowly starts to grow. 

It takes approximatley eight weeks for the seeds to grow and flower. In previous years, students have reported a growth to more than 6 feet tall.
